Screen for Life Coach

The Screen for Life Coach visits our area regularly.
The Screen for Life Coach offers three cancer screening tests.
Breast screening mammogram.   Women are eligible to participate if they:  Live in Ontario,  Are 50 to 74 years of age and have:  no acute breast symptoms,  no personal history of breast cancer,  no current breast implants,  not had a mammogram within the last 11 months.
Cervical Cancer Screening.  A Pap test is used for cervical cancer screening.  Women who are 21 years or older, who have not been screened in the last 3 years, are eligible to have a Pap test for cervical cancer screening on the Screen for Life Coach. If you have had a hysterectomy, you should talk to your Primary Care Provider about whether or not cervical screening is right for you.Ontario Cervical Screening Guidelines recommend that women ages 70 years and older do not need to have Pap tests when have had 3 or more normal tests in the past 10 years  .

Colon Cancer Check. When eligible women call to make an appointment for a mammogram on the coach, they may be eligible to have a Pap test to screen for cervical cancer or meet with the coach nurse to discuss your wellness and screening history and, eligibility. Women are eligible to participate if they:  Live in Ontario,  Have no symptoms * of colorectal cancer, Are 50 to 74 years of age, Have not had a colonoscopy.
